The Great Outdoor Fabrics

HOT off the press from WARWICK Fabrics is the
new BONDI, BELLS BEACH and MINDILL Collection,
an exciting, versatile range of the freshest outdoor fabrics
to add to their existing WAIKIKI and KONA outdoor fabric.

Named after iconic Aussie beaches, the boldness of the stripes and versatility of the stunning geometrics will inspire you to revamp pool areas, outdoor dining, lounges, daybeds and cushions.

Specially developed for the outdoors in design, vibrancy and durability, the four designs in the seven colour palettes will leave you spoilt for choice and wanting to move outside! Of course, you can use them inside, as well. Other benefits are the reversibility of the patterns creating endless combinations, and environmental aspects of the clean manufacturing dry yarn colouring and biodegradable dyes.

The trend at the moment is towards bright patterns and stripes, matching back with the bright plains. Isn't the tangerine terrific? Mixed with Facebook blue, the look is stunning.

As usual, black, brown and the neutrals are always there, performing their staple duties. Come in and check these new generation fabrics out: you will be delighted!!

My Neighbour's Garden

“Those ginger plant flowers are beautiful”
proclaims Mandy as we peer into my neighbour’s garden.

So a few moments later and with the kind permission of our friendly neighbours, there we were in the lush under growth, snapping away. As you can see, our piece de resistance this month is the new wing chair, ottoman and footstool, featured on this page.

These eye-catching occasional furniture pieces are upholstered in a soft, velvet flocked fabric in a riot of summer colours – lime, aqua, fuchsia and electric blue. The graphic pattern and the contemporary floral certainly add lashings of wow. Pieces can be purchased individually or as a set.

Anchoring this lap of luxury is the delightful “Neighbour's Garden” rug. Made of New Zealand wool with accents of artsilk. Miraje has secured exclusivity of this stunning range of designer rugs. Truly, a great rug makes a room.

The garden party continues with a colourful array of tableware, lamps, candles, cushions, wallpaper (the collection grows) and accessories for those finishing touches. You simply cannot miss Miraje Home’s window this month.

Plenty of new stock is arriving daily so come in
and join in the party of colour.

Welcome to Miraje Home Blog

Welcome to my blog, isn’t this exciting?

I am actually getting better at this, with much patience and help from one of my darling daughters, Laura. It seems my other daughter; Courtney is always in cyclones in Western Australia so she is quite preoccupied at present.

Anyway, I have started this blog because I would like to inform my customers and those interested about what’s happening around the traps in the way of home decorating. As you may know, I have a retail home décor and curtain shop in Bloomfield St Cleveland, called Miraje Home.

This shop was opened in 1999 with my friend, Mira. Well its now 2012 and I do regular advertorials in the local lifestyle magazine ‘d’fine’ as well as the occasional ads in QLD homes. This Blog will present those d’fine articles on a monthly basis as well as news on new stock, specials and anything interesting.

I hope to tell you stories of my adventures in the decorating world so this should develop into a whole lot of fun!

To start it all off I have included some snippets of my home.

Our main bedroom, once featured in Queensland Homes

Our new kitchen, took about 14 years but we finally did it.

Club sitting room, note the renovated genoas and the renaissance wallpaper

The front garden room, anyone want a job clipping hedges?  Apply within.
